Mooser EMC Technik GmbH and Albatross Projects GmbH<\/a> held a presentation on EMC tests for innovative automotive drives at the Asia-Pacific EMC Week in Beijing. In China, the world’s largest automotive market, interest in electric, hybrid and fuel cell drives is particularly strong. The topic of EMC tests therefore also enjoys the greatest attention there. Jakob Mooser (Managing Director of Mooser EMC Technik GmbH) and Timo Greiner (Managing Director of Albatross Projects GmbH) explained the framework conditions for successful EMC tests on electric, hybrid and fuel cell drives in a 90-minute presentation. The various aspects of the lecture ranged from EMC concepts for electric drives to the individual requirements for components, test facilities and tests to safety aspects and practical solutions for test facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jakob Mooser was able to fall back on know-how from his own company. Mooser EMC Technik GmbH operates more than 2,500 square meters of modern absorber and shielded cabins, measuring stations and simulation systems at the Ludwigsburg site – a test laboratory that no other manufacturer-independent service provider is currently likely to have. Albatross Projects GmbH, the successor organization to the former Siemens Matsushita Components GmbH, also has decades of experience in EMC system technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was very surprised by the response to our presentation. Although the lecture was included in the program at very short notice, almost all the seats in the large lecture hall were occupied. We then went into more depth on the topic with many representatives from OEMs and suppliers at the Albatross Projects booth. These lively discussions showed that the subject of electric drives is being vigorously promoted in China.
