Not only car drives are electrified. Public buses with electric drives have long been driving through our cities. Manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz Trucks are testing battery-powered trucks in plant-connecting delivery traffic. In Sweden, near L\u00fcbeck, near Frankfurt and in the Black Forest, large-scale tests are being carried out with electrically powered trucks, which draw their electrical energy from overhead lines on longer stretches of motorway, similar to trains.<\/p>\n
With their higher performance and torque than passenger cars, however, electrified commercial vehicle drives place high demands on electromagnetic compatibility during development. In addition, the larger dimensions of the drive components require new test concepts. The right solution for these challenges comes from Mooser EMC Technik GmbH in Ludwigsburg<\/strong>. Successful customer tests on hybrid transmissions with several hundred kilowatts of power and several thousand Newton meters of torque for trucks with a total weight of more than 7.5 tons have confirmed the system concept.<\/p>\n All components of commercial vehicle e-drives could be easily tested for their electromagnetic compatibility.
