A total of 50 recognised specialists work for Mooser in two associated companies: one near Munich and the other in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart in Germany. They work on finding solutions to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems, primarily in road vehicles, but also in industrial electronic systems, rail vehicles, aircraft and military technology. The two companies are internationally accredited EMC test laboratories and engineering service providers. They perform type approvals and qualifications and play an active role on many standards committees.

Our strength lies in EMC solutions and developments for the automotive industry. With more than 40 years’ experience and a global customer base, we are one of the leading EMC laboratories. Our spectrum of services covers all areas from the initial meeting through to the final qualification of the products. For example:

To enable us to carry out all these tasks, we have created comprehensive test set-ups at both our sites that meet every requirement. The unique feature is our four eCHAMBER® systems, consisting of an ultra-modern test bench concept specially designed for high-voltage electric drives in cars. We also have a variety of other high-tech test chambers and test stations for your projects:
- 16 absorber chambers (including radar tests at 600 V/m)
- 4 eCHAMBER® systems for hybrid, fuel cell and electric drives
- 6 shielded chambers
- 1 reverberation chamber
- 8 pulse measurement systems
- 4 simulation units for vehicle electrical systems (12 V, 24 V, 48 V)
- 1 semiconductor measurement station
- 2 measurement stations for general electrical/high-frequency equipment
- 1 measurement station with a temperature chamber for electrical tests of high-voltage components.

EMC is much more than just testing
Jakob Mooser GmbH, which is based in Thanning south of Munich, works with EMC issues in cars, industrial electronics, rail vehicles, aircraft and military systems. In Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, the specialists at Mooser EMC Technik GmbH focus entirely on EMC in road vehicles.
